Newport Beach Yacht Club

A variety of boating classes are offered to interested NBYC
members as a benefit of the NBYC affiliation with the U. S. Coast
Guard Auxiliary. These classes provide an easy way to sharpen
your skills, relearn the basics or learn something new. Offerings
planned for 2008 include:

Newport Beach Yacht Club

Well-located boat slips are in high demand in the Southern California area. Based on its waterfront
location, the Newport Beach Yacht Club offers 61 slips located adjacent to the Club that are owned and
operated by California Recreation Company and Villa Marina.

Though based on availability, your membership gives you an inside connection for some of the most
sought after slips around. Please contact the NBYC office for more information.

South Shore Yacht Club

The Newport Beach Yacht Club has a reciprocal
relationship with the South Shore Yacht Club whereby
NBYC members are invited to participate in their
scheduled boating activities. They are the well-known
host of the following annual boating events:

US Sailing Association

The Newport Beach Yacht Club is a member of the US
Sailing Association, a 200-member organization that
promotes excellence and participation in sailing. For NBYC
members, this means eligibility for special rates on boat
insurance, easy access to national sailing event information,
and the opportunity to purchase official USSA clothing and

US Coast Guard Auxiliary

A benefit of the NBYC affiliation with the US Coast Guard Auxiliary is the variety of boating classes that are

NBYC is the Home Base for two USCGA Flotillas

USCGA Flotilla 27, District 11SR, Division 02 has been affiliated with NBYC since October 2006. This
esteemed group has been serving Newport Beach for more than 50 years and excels in Public Education
with boating safety classes. Flotilla 27 hold their general meetings at the club and offer classes including
GPS for Mariners, Coastal Navigation and Boating Safety. Vessel safety checks are also available free of
charge for NBYC Members.

NBYC also serves as the home base for the USCGA Flotilla, F1-02-05. Please call NBYC or watch the
